I am not trying to discuss sexual pleasure so relax, it will not qualify as an "Adult" article .. lolz.
Lets talk a bit about the rise of word 'sex' in conversation among youths in todays India. Its no longer shameful or even odd to talk about sex now in friends and groups of socio importance to us. Internet friends find themselves very comfortable sharing their experiences and even fantasies with each other.
In a way its a positive development that people don't find it as a mysterious thing and its like any other topic they can talk of. Thats not all to it, we need to see a bigger picture as to where are we moving. It really pisses me off to see today's movie directors trying to sell their crap scripts just using word sex as many times as they could. Recently there has been an alarming number of movies that hit box office with their theme as sex and related issues. Its horrible to know that people are trying to spread wrong message seeing the trend of word sex getting more acceptance by common masses. Most movies try to either project illegal relations as main theme or a jerk simply trying disparately to get a night with a good companion. Are these some new phenomenon that we should talk about, i guess such desires existed from ages. If we don't have something sensible to talk about why spread cheap crap.
One thing that has definitely changed and about which i am convinced is the meaning of word romantic. Being romantic in a couple simply means being sexually pro-active. Romance has taken the form of sexual libido. Tender soft emotions are words of fun and irrelevant. Other thing that has changed is the most laughable topics in a social gathering of friends. "He's a gay. or He's impotent" can tickle us more than a cartoonist trying to do his best moves. Not to worry till it serves the purpose of tickling your funny bones ;).
Its pretty obvious what runs in a youngster mind do we really need to make a hype of it ? Lets see what could be consequences of all this crap. People have always been carried away by movie styles and flashy life style projection of silver screen. When you begin to show sex as the only thing people are revolving their life around people begin to take it as social status. Not being virgin makes you feel more elite. People spending more and more useful time to simply figure where they can cash a possible short sexed up relationship. We are loosing good productive youth time thats so worth creativity. A greater awareness and ease of discussion of a subject would never mean it being used in a way to satisfy your fantasies. A healthy culture doesn't necessarily mean copying west. India is unique in its traditions being frank is always welcome. What we probably need to check out on is its interpretation.
Its beyond my understanding why should there be loads of movie churning out on what a couple tries to do when they are alone, its pretty obvious why create hue and fuss about it? Why send wrong signals to youth? A mature presentation of a topic is highly critical. Sex is not only a word to sell but there's a lot that can be talked about it and presented in a fashion that brings out its true color and fragrance. We need to be mature and handle development and modernization is a way thats worth it. I am still awaiting a mature presentation of growth and acceptance of word sex in current India on silver screen.
